Position Title:
Business Analyst

Position Summary:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for performing business and financial management functions for Team SPAWAR, a US Navy activity.  Those functions include cost modeling and what-if analyses, brief development, and current and out-year budget planning, execution and reconciliation.  This position has high growth potential for the candidate who has the aptitude to learn quickly and a drive for excellence.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or related field required
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
  

Required Skills:

• Ability to be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.

Desired Skills:

• Excellent presentation skills.
• Significant experience with MS Excel.
• Experience with MS Access in developing databases.
• Knowledge and experience with cost estimating or cost analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with cost accounting and/or operations management.
• Experience working in a DoD, Navy, and/or SPAWAR environment.
